Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one of the most renowned designers of Swedish ceramic art of the 20th century. He is well-known for his constant creativity and exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and patterns. Lindberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.

Stig Lindberg’s series of playful leaf dishes and bowls were designed in the 1940s and hand decorated in the Gustavsberg studio using a variety of patterns and glazes.

Made by the Swedish factory Gustavsberg in stoneware.

This early Sauce bowl is hand decorated with a ruby red geometric pattern by faience painter Sigrid Richter circa 1945.

Sauce bowl length 15cm width 8.5cm height 6cm.

Signed with the hand for the Gustavsberg Studio ceramics.

Condition: Excellent, no damages to the ceramic, some crackle glaze.
