Goldscheider Wien Art Deco figure

A rare model of a young child sleeping on a pile of books. This is an original hand modelled and painted ceramic figure by French Sculptress Charlotte Monginot. Originally sculpted in 1911 it was released by the Viennese factory as a lamp and a stand alone figure.

Impressed model number 4304 113 8 ; Goldscheider printed factory mark for 1922 – 25.

Listed in Dechant and Goldscheider catalogue of works who record a model found in the Wien Museum.

Condition: Good, a flake out of corner but nothing to detract from this magical piece.
