Bjørn Wiinblad (1918 – 2006), was a Danish painter, designer and artist in ceramics, his Women figures are all hand made and each individually painted. It is said he liked to paint the eyes himself and no two models are the same.

This large studio pottery figure of one of Bjorn’s women sitting as a candle holder – consisting of 2 pieces – the main body and a candle holder inserted into her hat.
