Beautiful white porcelain lamp with a basket weave design, hand painted and gilded in the Rothschild bird pattern.

The design, a pair of birds playing with a golden necklace, comes from the family history of the Rothschilds when a pair of birds stole a necklace from their house. The birds were later seen playing with the necklace on trees in the garden.

The bulbous lamp stands 34 cm high to top of fitting x 16 cm at it’s widest point.

Condition: AS NEW gilding bright, new wiring with long lead can be cut to length. Not PAT tested.
