Daisy Makeig-Jones series of “ordinary Lustre” ware.
A Byerley shape bowl from Wedgwood, circa 1920, produced in a rare dark green lustre with blue mottling. (Silver is the element mixed with glaze to produce the gorgeous green lustre, the pieces were more expensive to produce and there were less made). Multicoloured lustre and gold flying Hummingbirds decorate the bowl along with borders of flying geese and winged bats. The interior is lined with mother of pearl lustre with pale stainings and has a green lustre hummingbird in the bowl.
Printed Wedgwood with Portland Vase mark to base. Z5088.
