” The international career of Nymphenburg animal figurines began at the beginning of the 20th century. Artists such as Theodor Kärner, Josef Wackerle, August Göhring, and Luise Terletzki-Scherf shaped the manufactory’s distinctive style by imbuing their figurines with a lifelike depiction and endowing them with a distinctive character.”

This beautiful fox was first modelled in 1909 by Theodor Kärner, and is available today at Nymphenburg Porzellan in both underglaze painted and white.

Impressed Nymphenburg shield to base with incised numbers 456 26; green printed Nmphenburg factory mark dating the figure to 1997/2007.
