Daisy Makeig-Jones series of “ordinary Lustre” ware.

An extremely rare lidded powder bowl by Wedgwood, circa 1920. The outside has a blue lustre with stainings and dark blue mottling. It is decorated with 3 multi-coloured lustre and gold flying Hummingbirds around the bowl and 6 on the lid. Inside is an orange lustre with crimson mottling and the bowl has a gilded flying Hummingbird. Gilded lustre geese fly around the rims, and foot. A cloaked crimson lustre figure sits atop the lid and acts as the knob.

Printed Wedgwood with Portland Vase mark to base. Pattern number Z5294.

Approx. Size: 12 cm high x 15 cm diameter.

Condition : Excellent – no damage – gilding very good.
