An extremely rare Wedgwood “Celtic Ornaments” Punch Bowl, circa 1920.

A large glazed and gilded bone china pedestal bowl. Decoration designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones (1881-1945) in the “Celtic Ornaments” pattern, against a matt black ground (exterior) and orange lustre (interior).

Printed Wedgwood Portland Vase mark, handwritten “Z5265”

H: 5 ¾, Dia: 11 in.

Condition : Good with no damage and a great ping. On close inspection there are scratches inside the bowl. The gilding is almost perfect.
