An extremely rare Wedgwood Byerley shape bowl decorated with carp, circa 1920. The pattern number Z4920 is listed as outside, a mixed blue lustre with green staining and blue mottling, with fish and seaweed decoration in a mixed lustre and gold outline. Inside the bowl is lined with a mother of pearl lustre with pale stainings and decorated with a large fish swimming through seaweed. A lovely wide, aquatic bead in gold adorns the rim.
