Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one of the most renowned designers of Swedish ceramic art of the 20th century. He is well-known for his constant creativity and exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and patterns. Lindberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
Stig Lindberg’s brilliant vase with a segmented shape, milky white glaze, and a Yellow linear decoration. It was decorated by hand in the Gustavsberg studio by Karin Björquist – 1927-2018. She joined Gustavsberg in 1950 as a painter and worked there for over 40 years. She was part of the Nordic design tradition aiming for more beautiful everyday goods for everybody. Today her work is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
