A wonderful elongated poster tray, designed and produced by Italian firm Fornasetti.

” From tiles to coasters, teacups, appetizer bowls, trays and teapots, there was no ceramic object Fornasetti didn’t recast in a new light.”  

He called them conversation pieces, each piece is unique, an excellent reason for a conversational discussion.

Design by Piero Fornasetti 1960s. 

Falstaff by Guiseppe Verde at La Scala, the Opera house in Milan. Theatre posters were an important theme in sheet trays, most of them bearing playbills from famous Operas. 

Vintage makers mark on the base.

Measures 215 mm  x 135 mm .

Condition: Excellent, no damages to the ceramic, checked with UV light, no crazing to the glaze, very little wear for their age.
