A rare advertising sign for the Schwarzburger Werkstätten factory.

Porcelain Figurine of Man Resting and taking in the view while Hiking, designed by Otto Thiem in 1909. The original design was altered in the 1920’s to the piece I have for sale and was made as an advertising item for the factory.

The bare foot Male Hiker, with Cap, Knapsack and detachable walking stick, rests one leg on a low wall on which is etched the wording Schwarzburger Werkstätten Porzellan – impressed fox, the factory’s symbol.

Measures 25.5 cm high x 22 cm wide x 12 cm deep.

Blue factory mark for  Schwarzburger Werkstätten – impressed running fox.

Dates to the early years of the factory – circa 1930

Condition : Excellent, no damages to the porcelain, checked with UV light.
