A Meissen white porcelain model of a Seagull 

Max Esser (1885-1943) designed a number of animal and bird models for the Meissen factory during the 1920s.

Modelled as a seagull with everted outstretched wings skimming the crest of a wave, mounted on an ebonized wood base. 

Crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue.

1st quality, no strikes.

Height 16 1/2 in. (42 cm.)

Condition : Excellent, no damages to the porcelain, checked with UV light.
