An extremely rare early twentieth century cup and saucer decorated with the Chinese technique powder blue, a glaze Wedgwood perfected by a method of stippling cobalt blue onto an already glazed surface, resulting in a beautiful and very close imitation of the original Chinese design. Added to this are multi lustre gilded fish, swimming in and out of the gilded bubbles, around the saucer and cup.
Printed Wedgwood with Portland Vase mark to base and Numbered X9316.

Saucer – 12 cm
Condition : Excellent, no damage – gilding good.
