Schwarzburger Werkstätten

The Schwarzburger Werkstätten were sort of founded in 1908. It really was the Unterweissbach porcelain factory but when Adolf Pfeiffer took them under his wings in 1908 he renamed it Schwarzburg Workshops for Artistic Porcelain. They are most well know for their figurines, attracting the best artists of the time like Ernst Barlach, Otto Pilz, Paul Scheurich to name a few. Pfeiffer went on to become the director of Meissen and after WWII it was again called Unterweissbacher Werkstaetten fuer Porzellankunst. Their figurines are just amazing but I am sorry to say I own few of them. Plus it is hard to find them from the original time of production as they have been produced later from the original molds and are still being made today.
