Netsuke Mouse
£220.00
Royal Worcester produced a series of 14 animals copied from the Japanese ivory carvings and netsuke. All follow closely to the originals and like them are not to scale. The modellers are unknown. They are now incredibly rare and highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
A mouse nibbling at a nut held in it’s paws, it’s tail curled underneath. Like the rabbit this model proved very popular, and when introduced in 1916 sold for 1s 6d white; 1s 9d tinted; 2s coloured.
