Green York Cup
Wedgwood Ordinary Lustreware Circa 1920.
A rare Green lustre with all colour mottling York cup, decorated with oriental gilt motifs and animals. Inside the bowl is a mother-of-pearl lustre with All-colour stainings and a large lustre gilt Coiled Dragon as it’s centerpiece. Beautiful deep gilt borders to rims and base.
(Silver is the element used in the manufacture of green lustreware and therefore more expensive and a much rarer colour to find.)
Printed Wedgwood with Portland Vase mark to base and Pattern No Z4831 to base.
Size: 10 cm diam. x 5 cm high.
Condition : Excellent, no damage to ceramic or gilding, an amazing quality bowl.
