From the family of Fornasetti vases by Bitossi Ceramiche. As always, the designs give a witty twist to Piero Fornasetti’s iconic prints, such as the face of his muse Lina Cavilieri. These limited edition vases are an offspring of the original – a chalk mould of a vase designed by Piero Fornasetti in the 1950s that never made it into production and was later found in the cellar by his son Barnaba. The ceramics mix Bitossi Ceramiche’s craftsmanship with Barnaba’s design flair.

Produced in 3 sizes, this black ceramic vase is the medium size – 30 cm x 18 cm.

Base has printed Bitossi manufacturer mark – Made in Italy – official Fornasetti paintbrush in hand and a limited edition number 184 / 299.

Condition: the vase is in excellent condition (white spots are light reflection from the camera); the lid has some rim chips underneath which have been blacked out and don’t show when lid is in place. Please see photos.
