Alf Jarnestad’s amazing hand decorated bowl with a rare geometrical leaf decoration in cobalt blue on a milky white background. Legendary Swedish 1950s design! The bowl is hand made in the Gustavsberg pottery from Stig Lindberg’s design studio, giving it a unique touch. 

Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one of the most renowned designers of Swedish ceramic art of the 20th century. He is well-known for his constant creativity and exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and patterns. Lindberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.

Oval bowl measures 17.5 cm x 16.5 cm diameter x 5 cm high.

Signed Gustavsberg Sweden; painters mark for Alf Jarnestad.

Condition: Excellent, no damage, a little glaze crazing typical for age.
